Gareth Coe Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Mogstock The UK's first Unimog gathering took place this weekend at Gore Farm near Knutsford. As well as much tyre-kicking and camp-site chewing-of-fat, the 8 Mogs (along with an IVECO, a Land Rover, Lada and dirt-bike) spent a day at a nearby quarry playing in the mud. Here are a few piccies: More to come on Heidi's website (when I get the chance to update it ) A big "thank you" to Jim for organising this brilliant weekend. See you all at the next one!

We are installing a muffler over at the shop so that the 404 can drive in the city! Last December we moved and used it to haul all the parts from the garage over to the new place and blew out the Maxwell House coffee can I had wrapped around the old muffler. It sounded more like the Garbage Truck than a 404 at that point. There is still a poster in the back of R.E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson's last meeting in the back of the MOG. I suppose I'd better take that out too.

I couldn't walk up it - I had to use my hands to grab tufts of grass and branches etc. and then it was difficult. I stood at the top and saw the Mog position himself at the bottom. I thought: no point getting the video camera ready - I don't want to waste film on what will obviously be a failed attempt at an impossibly steep hill. And then he climbed the sucker! I just stood there with my mouth open, dumbstruck. After a few seconds I managed to shout a couple of expletives, but the Mog was already gone - after the next challenge. Everything you've heard about the off-road ability of these little beasts is true All the Moggers who attended were genuinely surprised at how much they could do. Gareth
