While lubing my throttle linkage I noticed under the air-cleaner there appears to be something missing on the bottom by which looks like a hose attaches...a trip to the EPC shows a DUST VALVE. kerry460 Elite Veteran Date registered: Apr 2006 Location: tasmania australia Vehicle(s): 1984 300GD LWB WAGEN Posts: 611 ![]() | RE: Air cleaner dust valve G,,day .i am presuming it is the same as on 300GD .if so .it is a moulded piece of rubber ,round to fit on to pipe .it then flattens out to create a seal .by pressing on the ends of the flat seal it allows it to open,thereby dumping accumulated dust an crap .i hope i have explained it .yes it is neededto seal the air filter body.cheers kerry. | ||
