LED trailer lights and G55

Hi Guys & Gals,

So I have a 2007 G55 and hooked up my trailer which has Hella LED lights. They are separate tail light, brake light and indicator lights all LED.
So I have the following:
Tail lights work well.
Brake lights work well.
Indicators only flash every 10-15 seconds while the vehicle indicators work as per usual.
I have done a google search, but did not find anything conclusive.
While I accept there might be issues with the load of the LED lights, the trailer works 100% with my other (older G) and the G55 works 100% with other trailers with incandescent bulbs.
The fix suggested mostly is the addition of 2ohm 25W resistors, but I'm not eager to do this and in the process destroy some of the vehicle electronics.

Any advice/recommendations are appreciated.

RE: LED trailer lights and G55

I had to buy this adapter. Solved the problem.

I think it was around $15.

RE: LED trailer lights and G55

Thank you for the heads up.
Unfortunately They don't have a converter that would fit my G.
I have the european plug connection with the small pins and already a converter tha converts that to out South African trailer plug which is 5 and 7 pin (about 5mm in diameter)

At least there is something out there and I must just find it. Will ask at Merc as well.
