rhd280 Regular Date registered: Dec 2014 Location: New Zealand Vehicle(s): 1982 280GE LWB RHD Posts: 67 ![]() | FOUND! W460 LWB 280GE What are the part numbers and who sells rubber side moulding? I'm shipping a container from the states, so this is my opportunity to buy (in US) bulky parts. The rubber side mouldings on my 280GE LWB 5 door need replacing. I replaced the headlight covers a few years ago, but the side rubber is beyond end of life. I can't seem to find the part numbers after considerable searching, nor anyone offering them for sale using key words. Anyone know the part numbers and who sells them? I'm OK with alternatives like fiberglass or even 3D printing if rubber is no longer available or costs more than the vehicle is worth. ------ Update: See last post - found an eBay vendor in Turkey. Ordered all the rub rails (rubber moulding), arrived 10 days later. good price, looks the same as new. Edited by rhd280 2/22/2023 4:09 AM

Sorry I can't help with Part Numbers but these are still readily available from any Mercedes Benz Dealer or G-Wagen parts supplier. They were the same as used on the G300 Professional sold in Australia and New Zealand a while back so supply should not be an issue. Cost might be though! Go and get a quote from a dealer (who should also provide part numbers) and see if you can source them cheaper elsewhere. John

The side rubbers for the 460s had screw fasteners, where the 463 are double stick tape. The 463 will work just fine for your 280 but if you want the screw fastener type then the 461 variety are the way to go as I think they still use the screw fasteners. Go to this website to confirm numbers: https://www.ilcats.ru/mercedes/?function=getParts&class=2&catalog=62... Here are the part numbers as I see them (please confirm for yourself: 110: A46069008629051 120: A46069009629051 130: A46069001629051 140: A46069015629051

I cleaned up a couple double posts here, sorry for the site functionality being a bit sub optional. P3 host has just renewed for another 4 years, I'm not sure if this update has affected posting functions.

Claude, the Puch.at site has a complete set for a decent price, but shipping form Europe may be costly as you have implied already. You could also use the part numbers and order from a USA discount dealer to add to your container which may end up being more economical. I did put a set of the 461 rubber waist trim on my 1999 463 and it was about $600 wholesale at that time for the full set without the plastic inserts or screws. https://puch.at/en/products-spare-parts/repair,-service-and-modifica...
