One of the noticeable changes are components in the drive line. Leaking pinion seals require total part change outs and special pullers to be replaced. Even the one-time use flange bolts have to be replaced. Parts were in the $600 range for the repair. Labor is shown to be 9+ hours for the work. Then there is little unnoticed change: No grease fittings in either of the shafts or the universal joints. I did check the front hub grease. It was bright green and full of grease. I was expecting the hub to be slightly low, but not so. The G wagon has been changed to end the long life that one expectes. Buyer beware! Edited by GwagenLover 7/15/2023 7:10 PM | ||
