That info should be in your owner's manual. Otherwise, check out the Maintenance pages I posted to Kerr recently.

That info should be in your owner's manual. You are right - again. If all else fails, read the manual!! The manual says 5 years. An older WIS version said 4 years. I am glad - that gives me an extra year! Edited by 03-Gwagen 7/9/2006 4:56 PM

Grease is cheaper than machinery. Use full synthetics and do the changes more often and your very expensive gears and bearings will last and be happy. It is so easy to do, does not cost that much and will give those areas of the truck the attention they deserve. There are some here on the forum that do these changes every year. A replacement T case for the 463 has to be over $5000.00 I would bet. The best oils for that box would be around $20.00 or less to service it yourself. It takes 20 minutes at most. -Dai

I prefer to change all of the fluids every 30,000 miles. In my case, that is every year... I have already purchased all of the fluids planned for my next oil change. I'm going Red-Line for everything! (except radiator coolant and brake fluid).

Auto transmission MUST use MB fluid and the filter change and magnet addition is also in order. I have what I did in a PDF, if you want it. Send me an email. As far as the TC is concerned use Redline's MT-90. For the diffs, use Redline 75W90 Gear Oil.
