I am (still) puzzled Hello to all, A couple of weeks ago (before I found out about P3) I posted on BW with this particular problem. The ABS light of my 90's 300GD stays on all the time. I've checked the sensors - all OK. I've checked the entire brake system - all OK. It stops when I slam the brakes and it feels like the ABS system is working as well. Has anybody out here come across this before who could (and would) help me out? I took it to my local mechanic shop who couldn't solve the problem. The guy brought it over to an MB shop where they couldn't solve the problem ... or they could but you know how that goes ... you loose your G for a couple of days and end up paying a huge bill with the problem only being partially solved or not solved at all. No thanks! After getting some response from the guys on BW, Sean from EuroTruck in particular who has send me a troubleshooting sheet for the ABS system, I continued my quest to solve this problem. So far without luck. As specified in Sean's sheet the ABS light does flicker (ones, from on - to off - back to on) when I switch off the ABS system which indicates a faulty ABS system (and not the diff lock unit). So, now that I know this much I would very much like to solve the problem. Suggestions anyone? Sean, if you read this ... you did mention to me that you have some other sheets which hold some information as to how to solve this. I must say that I am really interested in obtaining these sheets so that I can solve my problem with the help of my local mechanic in stead of having to go to an MB shop Many thanks for your response! I am (still) puzzled Well, I can post a manual from the WIS in German. It starts with the Relay for Overvoltage protection and ends after step 35...you may have the same manual, but I just wanted to mention it. There is a different in ABS Systems depending on your VIN:up to...095186 and from 095187. RGDS Klaus

I am (still) puzzled Hey Klaus, Thanks for the response. As I don't have a manual for the W463 (only W460) I wouldn't mind receiving a couple of pages on this subject from you. Were you talking about posting electronically or copies via normal mail? In case electronically, what info would you need of me? VIN? email address? Regards, Rick | ||
