ELVIS Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | 460 suspension height!! hi from a newbie! my name is mike (but i do a mean elvis!!) and i live in south wales on the edge of the brecon beacons national park.i am new to G wagons , previously owning landies. i have an 83 300GD lwb auto that has 66k miles . right............................................ have measured the height of my suspension and the front is 53cm (from exact wheel centre to lip of wing/fender - mine has no rubber/plastic arch extensions) and rear is 49cm . has anyone got standard springs in good condition and can take some measurements for me ? just want to see if mine have sagged with age !! secondly does anyone know the compressed/extended length of standard shocks ? if i decide to go for a 2" lift will replace the shockers but need to know standard lengths so i can order up longer new ones. cheers elvis http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f262/ELVISISGOD/G-WAGON02-07-2006... With all the springs avaialble from the factory for various applications at time of build, a calling for anyone to measure their G would generally be valid if they had the same springs and tires...otherwise its the apples versus oranges. Have you checked which springs you have by either the color codes actually on the springs or EPC using your VIN ?
