Yes, Yes, I know this topic has been addressed NUMEROUS times... But, my philosophy in life is, you can never see something too many times... and still learn something.

I really HATE airing my "Dirty Laundry".... but I have to admit, ever since I relegated the use of the W210 as my kids "school commuter vehicle"? I have not kept an Eagle-Eye on the Ol' Donkey.

Sooo, after finding such a NASTY leak in the 2004 G55, 100K mile M113 engine bay? I thought I would pop off the M112 W210 engine to have a peek.

WOW!! What a freakin' Mess! It is AMAZING how much Oil these cars can leak, having the "Diaper" catching the Junk, in the process, giving a "False Sense of Security".

The Problem?? I think the 3 mile commute to school has really Messed-Up the engine. I had noticed some "Mustard/Mayonaise" under the Oil Filler Cap, and told the boys to drive the car for extended periods.... but even with this, I believe the lack of sufficient Warm-Up had lead to Plugging of the Breather Holes, resulting in Elevated Breather Cover pressures, which resulted in Cover Leaks. What a mess....

Anyway, now things are cleaned up, and I'm getting ZERO Mayonaise. Soooo, hopefully I have caught things early enough.

IMPORTANT NOTE!! You MUST have a Good Look around the ENTIRE circumference of the Valve Cover Gasket, with SPECIAL attention to the "U"Shaped Sections, as these are the most common sections where the Gasket will not Seal correctly.
