If I bounce the car up and down at a front corner, it'll bounce ~2.5 times. The rears are more like what I would expect, with just a half cycle return to rest. Is that Mercedes standard? The car seems to drive OK. When the rear shocks on my old 76 300D went, it wasn't until the rear end "walked"out on tight corners that I really noticed. Not sure about 4-matic but my Avantgarde 320CDI, while being front-heavy, does bounce a bit. Driveability is good, but the shocks are probably worn out on mine (260000km/160000mi) Upper rear linkage has worn bushings also, but this doesn't affect the handling. Prolly 99% factory parts too.. Planning on new H&R / Bilstein or Koni -setup for next summer, but for now, will do just fine. | ||
