Rear cargo door - W460 vs W463

Will a W463 rear door fit a W460? There's an old post mentioning the W463 will fit with a slight mod on the interior side. Is there a difference between early 463 vs later model years?

Couple of observations regarding the main differences between W460 vs W463:
1. The W463 "door check" hydraulic system is invisible once installed.
2. The W463 cargo door latch engages perfectly with the W460 door jamb pin.
3. Speaking of the wiring harness, W460 will need a new hole for it.
4. The W463 has the upper positioning lug for which the W460 jamb has to also be drilled.
5. The W463 cargo door latch engages perfectly with the W460 door jamb pin.
