Did M-B ever make a DOHC V-8 with an 8- one barrel carb setup? What kind of car did this come on?

Oh, and I was also told that this car was a Gray import to the US.

Describe that carb setup again? 

The first MB V8s were the SOHC M100 in the 600 which was MFI, and
the M116 and M117 used in the 108s and 111s which were EFI. 

As were all subsequent V8s AFAIK.

The only previous eight-cylinder engine I know of is the straight-eight in the 500/540(K). They had carbs

Any ideas Ed?
