Can't see oil level since I parked on a slight hill. Level the car and rechecked & I only see a small trace of oil ... I think and the oil is black. I am thinking of an oil change! This is my 1st diesel. My question is what the recommended oil to use for a MB '92 turbo diesel? How many quarts? Anyone has a pic of where the oil filter? or instruction to how to change. Is oil usually this black? What is the interval for an oil change? and filter change? | ||

The first time you check it after an oil change, it will be black. Color of oil is meaningless. Get a Mercedes service CD for your car. 800.for.merc

Make sure you get a proper filter: Hengst, Mann, etc. Post in the diesel forum or the 140 forum, you’ll get more responses. Edie: Oops, we are in the diesel forum, sorry...
