It only had 34,800 miles on it after 9 years. Yes, gone to the salvage yard. On Wednesday after lunch a fatal accident occurred that caused the G550 to die a permeant death. Had I been in anything other than a Gwagen I would be in the hospital, but I walked away unhurt, not even a scratch. However, there is a bright side to the story, I am in the process of getting a new 2025 G550 with the l6 engine.

I have heard that they feel more driveable with the front IFS. A former coworker is not willing to drive anything long distance but his 2024 G550 because he feels that it is such a safer car than anything he has ever owned.

My wife says the seat colors are burnt orange. but they look red to me. What a difference from the 2016. Sits slightly higher. My hearing is bad and the l6 engine is so quiet I cannot hear it start. I have managed to get the phone connected and the garage door opener installed. My old mats from the 2016 did not fit. Slipped in the ball hitch. I am going to buy the camera software to enable a recorder. As for any lengthy driving I cannot respond to long time comfort but what little I have driven it, it seems to be great. After owning and driving a G for 22 years, I can assure you it is the safest vehicle to ride in. Edited by GwagenLover 12/6/2025 1:49 PM
