What exactly was the "automatic starting aid?" I wonder why that had to have the shorter fuse? Was this the "cold Start Solenoid" that some of the sedans had? | ||

The ASA provides a richer starting mixture by means of a solenoid at the injection pump. That said, I don't recall a nonstandard fuse for it in my 111, but it's been a few years now.

This 1964 220 S is not fuel injected. | ||

This is a round part under the base of the air cleaner housing. | ||

My old 62 never had it. It had the SOLEX carbs. It has brought back a lot of memories seeing this old car! Even the smells of the old leather are the same. | ||
