Where are the mods?

Sleeping, bad internet connection, repairing my W126, getting a rental car, having a horrible time with life...... Sorry. I'll try to visit more often, and mod this forum like I used to.
In that case everything is alright. Hope everything is OK S500.
It's alright. The W140 has been awesome recently, but the W126 has been giving me problem after another. First it was tires, then it was overheating, and now it is having transmission issues. I had to rent a car, but at least I got a Volvo. A Silver S40 with leather. I'll take pictures of it just so we can get off topic, and have some fun. :dunce:
S40's are nice.
It's a 2007 model as well, with 6K miles on it. Not many scratches for a rental either. I like it. Although, it is weird driving such a small car though, because the 140 and the 126 are so much bigger. Nevertheless, the Volvo is very nice, and I do like it.

Are you trashing it or are you treating it nicely? Would you buy one in the future?

well, I am driving a little faster than usual, just because it is a rental car, but I'm not abusing it by slamming the brakes or anything like that. I would buy one if I had extra money lying around, but I'm not entirely sold on it, and for me, Volvo just doesn't seem to be as solid and safe like it once was. Maybe I am just hesitant because Ford Owns Volvo now... I dunno, but here are some pics:

the wife, so we need 2 cars. We switch off regularly between the 126 and the 140, but the W126 is having transmission issues, and is in the shop, so I had to get a rental. $28 per day for the Volvo.

RE: Volvo Rental

The key on the Volvo is really cool. It isn't even a key. you just stick it in, just like newer car keys. It is cool though.

Oh I see, I'd feel less of a man if I gave up my W140 and let my girl drive it, cause I'd have to drive that Toyota thing she calls a car, I just say you may have a car but the W140 is an automobile.

I'm in no way implying your wife carrys certain said bit of your ah-hem anatomy in her purse. J/K.

Hmm just got the rest of the pics now, the dash is very Bang & Offulsion, it also looks like everything is super easy to use, finally a car that has dials rather than buttons for everything I think it would be even better it that volume control was a keyless go button.

How do you like the waterfall center console? Is it weird to have that empty space in behind it? I think it would look cool if it were clear, or bigger, hollowed out, and had real water running down inside of it.

haha, well, the thing about the Volvo rental car, is that you can abuse it, fill up bad gas, etc. whereas with the W140, I would never do anything like that, and would never want to. Don't worry, I love my W140 and W126, and have no intentions of selling either of them, and replacing it with a little Volvo. An S60 would be something I would consider as another car, in addition to the 126 and 140, of course, however the S40 is a little to small for my liking.

It is pretty weird. I remember seeing them showing that in a TopGear, but never experienced it until now. It is pretty cool. There is some space to put change, etc. That would be interesting to see it clear or hollow, but I'm sure there are lots of wires in it. What do you mean by waterfall center console. This center console is just silver painted plastic..... Whereas with the W140, it is all wood

I rented it from a car rental place, not an MB dealer, so they did not have any benzes, the best car they had was a Volvo, IMO. They had the Ford Taurus, Chevy Malibu, Chrysler 300, Chevy Impala, and other junk American cars, but they were all cloth, and they were all boring cars.

The new Volvos are pretty cool IMHO.. but I also wonder if they're as durable as the old ones.

Of course we could say the same about Mercedes...

So, since it's a rental, why on earth did you feel obliged to white out the plate number???

And, is that a refinery in view in the first photo???

I think the 300C is a cool looking car, the interior is...ok but still a cool car not many of them here either.

It is an electric plant in the background. Well, if you want the number, it is 5WSY015. I'm not really sure why I took out the number. I just wanted to mess around in paint for fun. I don't think the new Volvo's are as good as they used to be though. Maybe its just because nearly all companies are building their cars cheaper than before in regards to quality.
