With that 1,000, I would be able to get:

1) Euro headlights for my W126 $500
2) 97 taillights for my W140 $300
3) More Matchbox 600 SEL's $200

My first W140 was a white W140 1995 S500. She, unfortunately..........................................................................................................died last year, and that's why I got the '96.

I think you may be right. But why not have the W126 be a father to the W140 ? The W116 can be the grandpa.

I am also a Mercedes-Benz R129 Premiere Matchbox owner. I gusse its like having the Designo package.

As mentioned in another thread, I own 3 600 SEL's and an SLR.

I also have two R129's.

I have a red one just like you, as well as an unopened black one.

BTW, I have a lot of Benzes, I have to take pics of all of them.

4) Black R129 Mercedes-Benz 500 SL (unopened)
5) Red R129 Mercedes-Benz 500 SL (opened)
6) White/Yellow W208 Mercedes-Benz A Class Coca Cola Collectible (opened)
6) White Aston Martin DB7 (opened)

I am trying to import another 600 SEL from the UK. It is beige. It is used, but hopefully, I can get it for a good price.

I just found the C126 SEC matchbox in my storeroom while searching for a screwdriver rusted and the bodywork says"AMG" and some orange stripes along it.

I'm not even aware of still having this toy. I gave a lot of my matchbox to charity and cousins. I still remember I bought this in the Toy R us in UK in the early 80s.
