OM642 (ML320CDI) Safety Recall

Looks like Crankshaft Position Sensors need to be replaced on a bunch of engines.

RE: OM642 (ML320CDI) Safety Recall

I recall other MB's having problems with CPS sensors. Is this a different part than the CPS found on earlier vehicles like the G500, G290DT, etc?

Either way, are there marking to indicate if you have the revised part of the problematic one?

Same type part, but a different version. Folks have commented about why this one and not the others.

The recall isn't supposed to start until February, so we'll have to wait on the answer to your other question.
