VDO Water bottle

I "saved" a VDO water bottle today from a 1965 220 S. This is the later type made of rigid plastic, not the "bag" type. It has a small crack just below the neck that can be easily repaired. These bottles hung from a battery bracket on the driver's side inside of the fender. A rubber bulb located on the firewall just to the left of the clutch pedal acted as a pump for the sprayer. In winter the water would often freeze in that bulb and would only thaw as the car warmed up! I had three of the old 111's and what fun they were to keep running and gassed up. By today's standards they were slow, but once warmed up they would hold their own on the highway!
