Please post a pic of your engine compartment and state the year and model of your G along with the engine type and any other visible modifications. 1982 300GD LWB with transplanted 617A (1981-1985 vintage turbo diesel) -Modified Air cleaner from 280GE (enlarged intake). -2.5" exhaust with flex down pipe (MB style from SD). -Dual Optima deep cycle batteries. -PlantDrive Vegtherm fuel heater (on top of injection pump hardlines). -Modified upper and lower radiator hoses to accommodate AC compressor bracket. Not much more to tell you about it really :) Where does your air intake come from? Side vent? The complete STT kit included a nozzle that extended all the way to the front of the hood and also gaskets that rise the hood a bit to allow more air flow. That flex hose between intake box and turbo also looks like a turbulence trap. STT made a wonderful cast aluminum pipe that's polished inside for max flow.
