Windshield Wiper shaft leaking issue

I have the dredded wiper shaft water getting in making a mess issue.
Wanted to know on my G just how hard it is to replace the mess. Looks like a rather tough to reach area..
Probably easier to find then my flasher unit but then again that was not where it should of been..
Hard to move where the seals are

Re: Windshield Wiper shaft leaking issue

It looks a pig but can be done in a couple of hours. They just pop off the bar under the dash. It’s best to replace both spindles. It’s hard to get the bearings on the back of them off – I used a large open ended wrench to force them apart. It helps to have a manual to work from. If you take the glove box out and all the bits at the side of the steering column you will see it better
