fuel pump AGAIN ???

my 2000 ml-430, after many grief-free miles, is acting up again. 113,000 miles on 'mein panzer'...

acting just like she did when the fuel pump died few years ago. too cold to do much work on her yet, but no obd codes.

barely starts, stumbles, wont rev, dies. will test fuel pressure at motor ASAP..

so, sheesh, i only got about 50k miles on my fuel pump? maybe i'll try just a filter first...

i INTEND to drive the wheels off her, since she tows my boat so nicely.

but, if this fuel pump is dead already ( the THIRD one on this vehicle, i believe ) may try to
'afro-engineer' a reliable toyota part or ...........

anybody else hanging on to their w163's having this prob? or, is it just me ??

anyway, Merry Christmas from Texas

Re: fuel pump AGAIN ???

well, at noon, in light snow ( this IS texas, guys ), it's not the fuel pump. still
puts out 50 psi cranking. holds it a while.

CPS ?? rodney was nice enough to spot me a spare off his departed '320 several
months ago. may try it.

the V-8 is really crammed against the firewall, though. can hardly wait...

any other suggestions? battery is fairly fresh.
