kevlar body panels

Does anyone besides ORC.de have kevlar/carbon body panels?

Are the military G's steel or kevlar ones?

RE: kevlar body panels

Hi!

What are you planing to do!? Do you want decrease your weight for a better weight/power-relation or do you want a bullet-proof G????

If you are looking for the first ... check out here:

All parts can also been made in kevlar/carbon ... just a question of money. A few weeks ago I hold an complete Flipfront made in kevlar/karbon with just one hand ... it was incredible how light it was ...

Greetings, Arnd!

Re: kevlar body panels

I would love a Kevlar hood for my G that would really make for an easier time then trying to fix the dents in mine.
But if anyone happens to have a nice hood for my G I am looking, do not want to spend a lot of money for a new one if I can fine a nice kevlar one or one someone has sitting about

The usual military-bonnet is made of steel, because you can step on it ... very nice to walk on it, but no pro without an bad side ... these hoods are heavy, heavy, heavy ...

Any idea how much the original hood & fenders weigh? Does the flip front include some sort of inner fender? Where/how is is mounted?

The site says about the hood:
Gewicht: ca. 9 kg
(Stahlhaube ca. 20 kg)

Which I assume means kevlar 9kg (20lb) steel 20kg (44lb).

Re: kevlar body panels

About 2 years ago a comapny selling military equipment offered our(Slovak) army, to buy some Gs with kevlar bodypanels for the paratroopers, but I don t know if they bought them. I think the kevlar bodypanels were not used for security reasons, but for weight reduction.
