Always wear seat belt

Warning it is a shocking and sad clip , but I am posting it to learn a lesson and teach others as well .

Safety is not only about the car it is mostly about the driver .

Re: Always wear seat belt

Ok that hat to be one hell of a sight to watch, I always start my G turn on the ragio and while the Serius is tuning in I put on my seat belt. That gives the G a few to warm up before driving away. If I ever get in a car and forget I feel nakid when I realize it.
Last spring I decided to buy a new Triumph Sprint Motorcycle. It was a grand thing, it was fun. Well about 3 weeks later we were all playing in the front yard and heard a Harley coming down the road, could tell it was going pretty fast. Anyway there is a pretty good curve just before my house. Needless to say the guy lowsided and went into the curb. He flew off the bike and impacted the back of a Pathfinder, him not the bike totaled the Pathfinder.
3 days later I sold the bike and will NEVER get on one again. Yes he was drinking and no helmet but that was enough to keep me inside steel and 4 wheels.
That is something that keeps you awake for many nights if you are not used to it.

Re: Always wear seat belt

I just read in an issue of Motor (Norwegian motorists assosciation members magazine) that in 75% of fatal accidents in one of the counties, the victims weren't wearing their seatbelts.

I always feel uneasy without the seatbelt on.

Also, it's a fact that most fatal accidents in the US with SUVs are from rollovers where the occupants didn't wear seatbelts and consequently were thrown out of their cars.

Keep your seatbelts on, and drive safely, folks!

(We 300GD and 240GD sluggards generally have too keep to a safe driving speed, anyways )
