Panhard VPS

There are 5 full pages of Hi-res pictures of one of the 50-something Panhard VPSs commisioned by the French military in 2005. Basically these are heavy-duty G270CDI Greenlines fitted with armoury and weaponry, but they didn't even bothered in replacing the steering wheel, hubcaps or gearlever Mercedes bagdes! Given the extremely few modifications to the original model, I wonder how Mercedes agreed to the vehicle being marketed and badged as a Panhard....

A reduced sample....

Re: Panhard VPS

Interesting how the rear hatch latching mechanism is completely external. With 2 snap-in securing points and a lever securing latch on the right side to keep it snapped in.

Thanks for the pics.
