RE: Not Enough Interest

So, is it still a go?

Not unless we get more people interested.

I would be interested. My GL found its way home last year but is probably ready for another visit.

DUTCH, How can I be interested when I have no idea what month/year you are talking about.

I ass=u=me that by asking this question you are interested. An interest is not a commitment to participate.

It takes a lot of work to even come up with a specific date; and without sufficient interest, I can't ask people to invest the time and effort to try to arrange it. Factory tours are by appointment only; and Friday - the best day of the week for any of us who have to travel to get there - is not a tour day.

Then we have to see if Eurotruck is available on Saturday.

So far, I haven't seen enough interest to justify the effort.

Re: SE G-Treffen - Vance Factory Tour

Its a shame we cannot do this again.
That was a trip to never forget.
Those folks at Vance treated us as very special guests....Very special!
The night at the watering hole was great...everyone having their fill and meeting forum members.
The accomodations were very welll arranged and made for a well rested night.
Made chills run up your spine when we all lined up our G's together.
Everyone taking in the Gwagens and their differences.
Sean put on a spread for us too.
I bought some much need parts at very good prices.
Well, if this does not go, we're going to miss out on a southeastern treffen.
I'm game anytime it is set up.
How about you guys being firmer on your commitments.
After all, this is a once in a blue moon event and it cost so little.

That's might be the problem - charge $500 per vehicle to get the commitment and spend it on good food and beverages maybe dancing girls.......

So, are you joining the party? Dutch is saving his money for the next oil change, he could be ready for us by next year.

Do they have good & delicious baked beans? I like to air-down even when driving the highways

Pretty darn good baked beans. After consuming and entering a vehicle ,I would recommend keeping the Hvac recirclate off. An a few windows open. If not done there's a danger of your eyes watering.
On a scale 1 to 10. I would rate Dreamland Bar-b-que a 9. I found a place this summer thats a 10...    The Worst BBQ in Texas..

RE: SE G-Treffen - Vance Factory Tour

Fernweh.....I think you scared Dutch off with the call for Dancing girls.
I have taken notice that since he suggested this outting he is laying low.
Maybe the beans didn't agree with him either!
I kinda liked the snow flurries we had while there.
Thought for a while I was going to get to engauge the lockers.
I am looking for a reason to put a new set of treads on the Gwagen and this trip might just set that in motion.
