Very picturesque and non-damaging, as befits someone who has rolled and drowned his G-Wagen in his last two outings... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Good,_the_Bad_and_the_Ugly#Production And we ended the route in Covarrubias, another wonderfully preserved medieval town, where Princess Kristina of Norway is buried: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Kristina_of_Norway The pictures are in the usual place: http://picasaweb.google.com/mortinson3/Covarrubias02

You have it all in Spain. Weather is not in my comfort zone though. Well, that can be one of its many attractives: that you have a great climate variety throughout the year and throughout the country: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madrid#Climate Edited by mortinson 3/1/2011 2:34 AM

And saludos to you too! Edited by mortinson 3/10/2011 4:59 PM

In Italy we have a lot of problems also in doing this Very nice places there in Spain, and great pics as always mortinson :) In Spain we are relatively free to use ROWs (Rights of Way) that originate from centuries ago. Bizarrely, you cannot cross state-owned land but you can cross private estates using these ROWs. Literally the world upside down But as I said, there are millions of kilometers of unpaved roads that you can use. Also the fact that the Guadalajara province, which is one of the places in the EU with lower population density is a blessing. You can literally drive for 14 hours without seeing a soul. This might not be news in the US of A, but in Europe it is certainly a privilege.
