1. 300gd pickup
2. 280ge 4 door full option
3. 230ge cabrio full option
4. G320 armoured, for sale and must go.

also the golf country chrome that is for sale.

I will keep the first 3. That will keep me busy. I do not think that there will be an other (I hope)

Re: my new (old) 230ge cabrio just arrived.

That's a great looking Cabrio! Are you importing it into Canada? If you are I would like to know how it goes. I want a power top Cabrio so I will prob have to import from Europe or Japan when they hit 15 years old.

Re: my new (old) 230ge cabrio just arrived.

I'm pretty sure that the next one will be also a G with a convertible powertop. I saw one with low mileage for only 19000 euros. The problem was that it was an 1998 december car. And I would not wanted to keep it in storage till end 2013. You don't see them often for sale.

Re: my new (old) 230ge cabrio just arrived.

I have seen cheaper once in a terrible condition and have seen more expensive onces in wors condition. I think I payed an honnest price for the car. Yes it need some work but there is no rust and that alone is worth a lot of money.

the 463 was a no go. No soft top, engine removed, and a lot of dust. Price was low but at the end it would cost a fortune.

I saw today an other 1989 cabrio for sale on ebay in Germany. Almost the same but in this case with a 280 engine and with rust.

Re: my new (old) 230ge cabrio just arrived.

Check out the evolution time line that Dutch posted. The year 1989 describes that model as the BR463. Transitioning from 460 to 463. There is a nice photo of your interior.

Curious does your VIN start with 460 or 463?

The vin starts with a 460. There are only a few 1989 463.
