Is the tent rain proof when raised? What is there to prevent rain water from pooling in the bottom "tray"? Also, how much height do the roof rails add? And how hard are they to remove? Some parking garages in the city don't leave a lot of room.

Is the tent rain proof when raised? What is there to prevent rain water from pooling in the bottom "tray"? Also, how much height do the roof rails add? And how hard are they to remove? Some parking garages in the city don't leave a lot of room. The tent is firmly clamped to the bottom shell at all points except for the three doors; and this prevents water from getting in. The doors all have flaps that hang out and over the sides of the bottom shell to prevent any rain ingress at those locations. See the photo of the erected tent from the rear to see what I mean. In reality it would be a very poor design if the tent collected water in the bottom when it rains. The Heavy Duty roof rack barss alone add roughly 3" to the overall height of the vehicle. The Aero bars would be slightly lower.

Looks nice. Mark The carport has been in place for about 8 months. I just got the wooden frame up for the Harken Hoister. I hope the squirrels and chipmunks don't discover those lines.

I would love to see a interior shot if you have one handy. Europa Int'l changed the leather and the wood, added $25k to their already high price and sold six of them through the Neiman Marcus 2000 Christmas Catalog. My lift consists of three neighbors. Problem is catching them all out watering their lawns at the same time on the day I need to put the thing on my roof.
