It is to early to say if it has fixed the problem but I suspect so as the gearbox shifts quite differently which was a real surprise. It holds a little longer in the gears under medium to hard acceleration and the biggest change is it now kicks down to a lower gear far earlier especially from 2nd to 1st under hard acceleration. I have owned the vehicle for 8 or more years and it always seemed to be lethargic on the down shift but now it is far more spritely and responsive so there may have been an issue for years. Removing the plug and electrical connector was a bitch as it didn't want to rotate to release the plug and when finally released getting the old connector out was quite difficult, thankfully I have a new connector as after 22 years and a build up of sand and crud around the plug and connector it didn't want to budge without causing damage. Otherwises its a pretty straight forward job. Thanks everyone for you info and input. | ||
