Is it a dealer only part? I've search under many key words and nothing. Who do you guys use for parts? Thank you

Vehicle(s): 2004 AMG Posts: 464 | Re: Locker intensifier question Thanks again I located one for $120, using the search words, "Vacuum Cylinder - Front and Rear Differential Lock". South Atlanta Mercedes online parts came up. I should swap both out. The other day, I swapped out the locker fluid. The rear fluid was brown, but the front wasn't fluid, was some black sludge. I removed the locker and the flex hose to the locker, (as it wouldn't pass fluid as it should), flushed the circuit until clear. Then rebuilt the locker, installed fluid lines and bleed the air. I did not install the locker to the axle, I wanted to see the pin move. Well, the locker would not activate. I passed almost a quart of pressurized fluid thru the circuit looking for air. Still nada! I pull the vac line, no fluid found, so I'm thinking it's not a bad intensifier. Applied Vac to the vacuum cylinder, it holds air but doesn't move fluid. When I release the suction, I hear some bubble action inside the cylinder. I pressurize the brake bleeder again, open the bleed screw, apply vac to the cylinder, no noticeable increase in fluid from the bleeder. My only guess, a bad plunger seal within? What a Time Bandit! Thanks for listening guys D

Thanks for listening guys D You might want to look again at the search results, the $120 was for the front & rear solenoid valve.....the intensifier were not listed at all. Is the problem, you having, at both axles or just the rear? Try swapping the intensifier between axles - if possible, and see if problem stays with one unit or with one locker slave cylinder. There is a number on the grommet but doesn’t seem to come up in any searches. H0853 11 211611617A These are the numbers on the old grommet.

I don't think MB sells it as a separate part. Maybe could find a generic grommet that works from a hardware supply. I have a set like this from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Cal-Hawk-AZGA125-Grommet-Assortment-Electrica... (Grommets.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Grommets.jpg (120KB - 0 downloads)
