The cost to purchase the replacement switches was about $168 a piece, so I began looking for alternatives. I saw a few posts saying to use window switches in their place, however, most people had to do some re-wiring. After a little bit of research, I found a perfect plug and play. P/N are 1248204510 KZ and 1248204610 KZ. These are central window switches for a 124 and I was able to get OEM/Factory (ie, not Chinese) for about $34 a piece. Edited by Adoni 7/25/2014 2:03 PM

What is the "KZ" in your part number? I don't remember ever seeing a MB part number with that.

I posted a link to those part numbers in this thread, I'm glad someone tried them. http://www.pointedthree.com/disc/forums/showthread.php?tid=18908&po... Aircruiser - I bought a set off the ebay link in the thread you linked above... my testing of it involved plugging it in to the lumbar switch location and trying it. Worked great! Apologies for replying so late, but the switches are plug and play. Looks like they were the same part number Adonis found, also. Aircruiser pointed me in the right direction. I do need to add that there are two different styles of switches for the 124 and I end up ordering both types to test. Thanks again guys!

It seems that the lumbar switch for the G is fairly proprietary in its design to the truck, hence the high price of entry.

They were both the 4510 and 4610 switch types. Unfortunately, only one of them worked flawlessly and I used that to replace one of my lumbar switches. Both of my 463 seat lumbar switches have the broken out holes. I discovered that I have a previously repaired switch surround with dried epoxy remnant that I have ordered a new replacement unit as well from MB. Only $15 A4638210159 9051 I'm heading to the junk yard this afternoon to get some more of the window switches. I repaired mine with waxed shoe leather repair cord. It's been doing fine now for years. The cord is crossed over itself on the top of the switch. I did get a couple 140 switches that I think are spares for the 1999 G500 window switches. Oh, and BTW, you cannot sand or grind off the little window icon on the 124 switch. It is white underneath with a black overlay, so it just ends up looking worse. Paint or sharpie will ablate the center icon pretty well. Edited by otiswesty 8/5/2020 6:36 PM

As I remember, it was dam*ed expensive.
