Get tired of the 6 years old BFG TA KO2 tires, slippery even on the wet grass... Installed Nokian Rotiiva AT Plus 265/70/18 on my 2014 G350, happy. Waiting for the winter.

I have 16 inch steelie for a spare (no tire yet). I want to mount it backwards so I can get one of those lockable storage things. What is the widest tire that will fit that way? I'm sure someone has experience. Thanks. spare tires are always mounted backwards if you want to mount tires that are wider than stock, you can always modify the receiver (extend the tube) make sure your spare is the same size as the other 4

I have the extender but no longer want to use it. What I really need to know is the maximum width the wheel can be to fit backwards.

Before I had 285/75R16's, but with the narrow axles they rub in the wheel well. I used 236/85R16 until recently until I got a chance to test the larger size and it changed the car. I must add that I have an OM606 with a 0.86:1 transfer case, 270CDI gearbox with the 5.3 difffs. (G255s.jpg) Attachments ---------------- G255s.jpg (124KB - 0 downloads)
