Intro/U427 .. CDL

Howdy,

guess a few folks here know me from the Gwagen forum, but anyways

I am an import from Germany, since 2001. Main profession electronics, but wich decent mechanical skills. Tinkering w cars for abut 50 yrs. My first car was a 190dc :-) and I actullay have such a beast waiting in my backyard for TLC.

Living in Lyons, CO. Just hitting retirement age, I finally feel the need for a mog. Especially after I got my G pretty good stuck in the last storm.

So, I am about to import a 25+ years, probably 427 U 1400 from Germany.

and here is the first question .. for a mog with a GVWR of 7.5 t ( 16,500.00 lbs ) do I need a CDL? What about when towing a trailer w 7000 lbs ?

Thanks
Oskar
