I have been getting false readings on passenger side blind spot sensor intermittently and seemingly with more frequency. They have swapped the sensors from right to left and error stays on passenger side. They have replaced and repainted bumper corner, have reset the electronics countless times. I am running out of ideas, any input would be appreciated and I would imagine that this isn’t a g-specific system. TIA.

I know my Sprinter is very sensitive to the paint thickness in front of the sensors. Read the warning at the bottom of the attached photo from the Sprinter Owners Manual. But it is only very brief when it happens (and Toyota Camrys seems to be the worst offenders). First, I'm not sure if the blind spot system has upgradeable firmware, but if it does, you should make sure you have the latest revision. I that doesn't work (or is not an option), then it seems to me like there might be an issue with the sensor driver module for those sensors. It may need to be replaced.

Any chance that could lead to a problem? My Sprinter does this, too; but it's a yellow light, as opposed to the warning red light. The yellow light is to advise that the system is working. It also comes on if you're at speed and there's a glitch in the system.

Thank you for the responses
