In Europe, they cable size via circumference in mm^2. CEA Auto Electric can make you beautiful cables with all the best components. https://ceautoelectricsupply.com/ Edit: I bought all of the tooling to make my own cables but it is better to outsource to this gentleman in my opinion and far less headache. Heavy gauge hydraulic crimping tool + dies = $$$ to do it right. Same with the cutters and connections. He has silver tinned marine rated OFC cable that he uses with very high strand counts so it is flexible. Edited by H1LM002G55 8/30/2020 12:09 AM

I installed the same connector in my engine compartment primarily to power my removable winch. I also made 20+ foot cables with Anderson connector on one end and jumper clamps on the other. The best for me was to go to my battery store and have the connectors professionally installed on cables I made. Use high quality flexible cables.

For the geeks out there, it's made from 6x 3500F @ 2.7V Super Capacitors giving me combined 583F @ 16.2V. It can start a large Caterpillar diesel engine without any other batteries attached.

All the battery cables I used, were Marine #2 AWG (IMG_2281.jpg) Attachments ---------------- IMG_2281.jpg (81KB - 1 downloads)
