| G320 Short Shaft
It's that time again. I need to replace the short shaft CV Joints again. I've just refilled them with grease, but their days are numbered. The CV Joints are $200 each from the dealership, although the entire replacement shaft is INSANE. Eurotruck used to source the shafts directly from the OEM (I think GKN). Does anyone know where I can get the entire shaft at a reasonable price? Otherwise I'll plan on rebuilding the same shaft again with new joints. |

Did you try a custom drive line shop in your area? Should be around $800. |

They shipped it FAST, and included shipping fees. At first glance is appears to be a very high quality short shaft. The only observation is that it doesn't appear to be the same black, high carbon steel as the original GKN.
This will be my 4th replacement of the CV Joints. In the past, I've purchased the individual CV Joint ends and replaced them on the original shaft. This time, I'm replacing the entire short shaft. Rest assured that I'll be keeping my original parts. Time will tell how many miles I will get out of this one, although $137 is a lot easier to swallow! |
