Chrome Tape on Grille

After about a decade of the chrome tape on the grille annoying me, I finally decided to take a couple hours to remove it, today.
I used a hair dryer and a plastic card to remove the tape. Then I used some Goof Off and a microfiber cloth to remove adhesive residue. Finally, I cleaned it all off and put a coat of wax on it.
Looks great!
Now maybe I'll get around to removing the faded, cracked PPF on my rear fender flares that also has been annoying me for a long time.

RE: Chrome Tape on Grille

I took off my chrome strips as well. Looks better without them.

Be careful of removing the rear flare protection. The paint on the flare will chip from rock damage. After having my flare repainted, I had new rock chip overlay put on at an auto accessory shop and ran it up to the top of the leading edge of the flare.

RE: Chrome Tape on Grille

Did you ever end up doing the fender flares? How was that job if so?
