| NLA exterior door handle A 463 760 0959 for 2002 G500
Greetings all,
The push button on the driver’s door handle on my 2002 G500 has been “sticky” and not popping back out any more.
It looks like the mechanism is part of the exterior door handle itself, A 463 760 0959, which shows NLA.
Any idea or have some of you dealt with a similar issue?
I told my tech to try the equivalent part # corresponding to more recent G’s for example from my other 2014 G550 (which ironically also has a similar issue at the left rear door).
Needless to say, we tried the usual spray of lock antifreeze fluid or equivalent, did not solve the issue, only seemed to improve it for a day or so.

I also had difficulty finding replacement door handles. Mine is a '91 and so I figured age was the issue. Sorry to hear the newer Gs have the same issue finding parts. I did manage to find 1, but could have used 2. |

I ordered a new handle for my 1999 G500 from the local dealer two months ago and got it. Should be the same for any 463 before 2001/2002. For the newer ones, I would recommend using an online dealer like mboemparts.com

Update: my tech dismantled the handle and lock cylinder, found that the culprit was a small O’ring which was worn, replacing it resolved the issue.
They had in parallel ordered the part recommended by Inkblotz, I will keep it as spare.
My 2014 G550 also has a slightly sticky button on one handle, we’ll see.
