I'm trying to get it fully sorted and have fixed a number of things already. 1)The speedo cluster was defective and I got a new(used) one in Germany on eBay K 2) Ghost wipers going randomly on occasion - wiper switch replaced 3) Wet floors driver side - new windshield frame paint, new door bellows, new door plastic sheet sealing, new wiper shaft seal and nut, new door seal The stumper #4) Driver door lock occasionally does not pop up. Seems random - Replaced Kiekert relay (no change) - replaced door lock mechanism (no change), big hassle too, taking the whole door apart - replaced master lock motor in driver door (no change) I cannot think of any other causal issue. Maybe the alignment of the lock latch on the body which I haven't adjusted yet. Maybe wiring issue, Rear driver side door lock has similar issue as well, the front door is obviously higher priority Am I missing something that someone else has done that may be straight forward? Is that Bordeaux Red? I have been having having some lock troubles as well but unfortunately not the same condition you are experiencing. I think I’ll post a new thread as not to hijack this one. Could the lock pin be getting caught against the door trim? My read door lock pin sometimes seem to get caught while popping up and doesn’t come up all the way on occasion? Probably too simple and you would have noticed. Thanks! It is called Titan Red Metallic, so yes "Bordeaux."  That's a good suggestion and I kind of thought of that. Maybe I'll just spray a bunch of lube all over in there and see if it helps. | |
