Waterless antifreeze

Has anyone used Evans waterless antifreeze or a similar brand in their older 463?

My kids 1993 500GE’s were starting to run a little hot, not overheating. I had purchased a “cool harness” resistor years ago and found and bought them again. The cool harness (after market) turns the aux fans on at a lower temperature and worked to drop the heat increase back to normal. Note the engineer who made these had a stroke and his wife had a few left that she sold to me.

So, I was reading about Evans waterless antifreeze being used in a restored WW2 P38, and wondered if anyone had ever used this in their MB.

Thanks again.

RE: Waterless antifreeze

I would use Zerex G-05 antifreeze that is either premixed or mix it with 50% water. Water in the system is not bad if you are keeping your temps at 100 deg C or less.

If the G(s) are running hot, I would recommend replacing the radiator(s). Make sure your water pump, fan clutch, and water temp fan switch are working well.

The coolant temp switches that activate the fan are available for different temp opening. A0065454224 comes on at 100 C and turns off at 95 C. I think this one is the lowest.

Thanks. I do use the Zerex or buy MB (blue) antifreeze. Was reading about the waterless and wondered if anyone had used it.
