Tips for replacing plastic chip guard film on rear wheel arch.

I assume I should just pull off the wheel arch and use my heat gun. Any other tips to make the job go better? Also anyone know the part numbers for a G500? I use to have them now I cant find them in EPC...but I know they are there!

Thanks!!!

RE: Tips for replacing plastic chip guard film on rear wheel arch.

I plan on replacing mine as well. Typically the Xpel or 3M paint protection products would be my choice. I just looked it up and this selections seems reasonable and easy to apply.

My paint protection film guy locally is crazy good at that stuff so I leave it to him these days, but thats a really small job so shouldnt be too big of a deal if you want to DIY.

Couple of tips... put some dishwashing soap on the rock guards the night before and let sit overnight and soften up the film. A steamer (small handheld type used to take out wrinkles on clothes) is far superior to a hair dryer or heatgun.
