Was it a common addition?
I know the VWs got the tuxedo stripes fairly often, but never from the factory, and I'm still adding them to mine-- But I think I want the early finnie instead of the ponton.
The coupe, 220se with the sunroof. I saw a 64 on craigslist that had a 2.5 engine fitted, and it was cheap, but needs work-- the ad said 'amateur restoration' and I know what I'm doing to that VW--I DON'T want to buy a car that was someones first restoration.
I've learned my lesson, and will not do an MB this kind of injustice, but at least I'll have a new VW for a little while-- till I find the right car to sell it for. |

There was also a burgudy over gray I think. Stunning brown! Mercedes-Benz could learn some things from their past! |
