That's a day earlier than originally projected. Looks like I'll take delivery between Christmas and New Year.

According to him, that means that it's pretty close to coming off assembly.

I was impressed, build quality and engineering certainly appears to be up on the previous model, especially the earlier ones. Does it come from the same factory?

She's beautiful. Any modding planned for it? I just posted a vid here about the ML320 vs X5 and Touareg diesels. The ML comes out on top as expected. Makes you feel a even better about your decision, huh? I never looked at the BMW, but did consider the V10 TDI Touareg. However, I couldn't justify an additional US$10-15k for the extra HP and higher fuel usage.

I think the the ML is superior to the VW 4X4 diesel. I have looked at both, and have friends with the VW - I suspect DB/DC has more going for it in the diesel world than does VW. Nice choice in all respects. ts

Did you test drive a gas? If so how does it compare? No on the test drive, so I can't directly compare. I can tell you that the ML320CDI has more torque than the G500.
