What's with the Driver's seat??

I've noticed that when I look at S-Classes, that often the seat trim is busted. Check out these photos:

The same reason the seat trim on the ML's are busted. Cheap materials and fat people sitting on them when they first get in or out.

My dad's friend 220 doesn't have that because he's skinny.

My wife is a size 10 and no where near fat and she busted ours off in the ML getting in it. Bad design is what it is.

I agree. It's how they let the side part of the leather just sit right on top of the plastic. Adds weight and pressure to the plastic which can't handle it. Our SA mentioned this when we had to get ours replaced (a screw broke off from the plastic actually).

This isn't new or even Mercedes specific.

The thing I hate more than broken trim is whenever the side bolster splits and you can see the foam. Our Ram 1500 did that, and it looks like crap.

The truck does have 210k on it, though-- I guess that's part of the reason.

It kinda shouldn't happen on a $60,000 car, though!
