Best Floor Mat Option

I tried the standard OEM mats, MB All Weather Mats and Weathertech. All are lacking in one way or another.

I just got these from http://www.cocomats.com and am very pleased. They worked with me to pattern an exact fit for my 2007 ML320 CDI, especially in the left foot rest "dead pedal" area. These mats will hold a lot of "crap" and won't show the dirt.

NICE MAT!

I wasn't so daring with colors.

But I like it. Solid Black really shows salt. Your colors won't be as bad.

Enjoy!

I chose the color so that lots of different kinds of dirt could hide in there.

On another forum I was told it looked like a Pinata. So much for "taste".

Another Color

This one is called "JAVA". It matches my Macadamia interior color better, but it won't hide the kinds of crap that I can get into; so I'll stick with my originals.

These mats are really excellent, and well worth their premium price!

(My only relationship to them is a satisfied customer.)

RE: Best Floor Mat Option

Also, why not try the MB all weather mats. I have it, and it is one of the best option to hold any kind of dirt and junk.

See the attached pic.

I have a set of the tan ones; and they're for sale. They show every shoe scuff mark and will not clean up. Also, they do hold any amount of water or wet slop because they have no side ridges to amount to anything. Liquids just roll right off into the carpeting. Weathertechs are much better at holding slop, but they don't cover the left foot rest.

For me, the cocomats are the best option.

Re: Best Floor Mat Option

Those look great and love the colors! We used to have those kind of mats in the 1970's in the 280's and I'm glad they are back.

RE: Best Floor Mat Option

Dutch, are the mats in my/your old 280 stock? Or are they made by this guy? They look very similar.

Probably yes. but I don't know for sure. Those mats date from the middle to late 1980's, so it gives an idea of just how tough they are. I've never had anything last longer. It's very interesting to see that they're still in use.

Re: Best Floor Mat Option

I have had these mats in all MB products. One suggestion is to make the whole mat one piece without the split for the dead pedal. That area gets all the crap and the mat coverage really helps. Jeff is sweetheart and always comes through. He has more than once offered to send me one free because these mats should not wear out but after 7 years of heavy use I told him I wanted him to still be in business for my next set. Highly recommend.
