Kermit Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | Afghanistan Another G has been hit by a bomb in Afghanistan. Here's a pic and a caption that came with it (haven't seen any pictures of the G involved yet): Soldiers from the 1st Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry leave Gumbad Forward Operating Base nicknamed the Red Devil Inn , north of Kandahar, 23 April 2006, the day after four soldiers from the same deployment were killed by a roadside bomb. Canadian troops travelling 22 April in a convoy were returning from a patrol in Gumbad village of Shah Wali Kot district, some 75 kilometres 45 miles north of Kandahar when their armoured car was hit by a roadside bomb, Canadian military spokesman Mark McIntyre told AFP. Misfit Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Afghanistan The G involved was demolished completely - people on the ground said the explosive was big enough that even a fully armored vehicle may not have made it. The G has already kept many safe though - when Canada went in they were all in unoarmored Iltises There is a linky to news story in OT | ||
