Since I had to replace the yucky-looking Star on my wife's car, I took some pics. You don't need the special tool shown here, just a set of combination pliers. 1996_S500 Date registered: Dec 1899 Location: Vehicle(s): | RE: Photo DIY- Hood Star R/R you could also replace the hood star using your hands but it would probably be best to use the pliars or that tool because otherwise you might run the risk of breaking the star, not to mention that those stars are hard to remove bare-handed because they've usually been there since the car was build so there's a lot of dust, dirt, etc. under the star... | ||
