G-Class vehicles that are at the VPCs have been changed to Down status and their status will remain unchanged until we have certification release. For logistics reasons, we have temporarily halted all G-Class shipments to the U.S. We apologize for the delay, and we are doing everything possible to expedite this release. We will update you on the situation as we get closer to January.

I recently told MBUSA while I applaud the refinement they have introduced into the new ML, it remionds me too much of the Lexus 330 SUV, a vehicle which I abhor and thus would not purchase. I understand that the goal is moving units and the core buyer group the vehicle is aimed at is primarily upper middle class moms, but for now, my third and current ML is my last ML. While I have been given reassurances by individuals knowledgable in the future plans of Mercedes that a diesel G will at some point arrive on our shores, my other side says that we are more likely to see a hybrid first...cuz thats what lexus would/has done.

The prices have gone up somewhat on the 320, as compared to the old 270. Prices can be found here: http://www.mercedes-benz.no/content/media_library/norway/passenger_... (1US$=6.45NOK at present). For those who want to have a look, here's a brief guide to the norwegian expressions in the PDF file: Personbilfortollet = The car is registered as a normal 5 seater Varebilfortollet =The car is registered as a two-seater van, with no back seat. The sales tax for a van will be 20% of a normal 5 seater. To put in the back seat, you will have to pay the remainder of the taxes. After 10 years you can put in the back seat with no extra taxes. After 5 years, you have to pay half of the remainder. Avgifter = taxes. This is the tax on a new car, which is calculated from vehichle weight, engine power and engine displacement. A G will be heavily taxed on all three counts. Bilpris ekskl mva inkl avgift = Car price with taxes, but not including VAT. MVA = VAT. This is a sales tax on all kinds of good sold here. For most goods, including cars, this is at 25%. Companies have to pay this, but get it reimbursed at the end of the VAT period (every two months) Utsalgspris = final price. This is what customers will have to pay. Johan-Kr Edited by Fenalaar 11/2/2006 8:37 PM

I saw my new 2007 G500 there. (ordered in Aug) I was told to except it November 1st., then told to hold on until Jan. The wait is going to be long. There were about 10 Black and 10 Silver. I was told that all other colors were going to be next year. I am surprised that it is not been Ok'd yet, it's not like they did not know it was coming. The new console looks good. Unfortunately the same cup holder. Don’t they drink coffee and cold drinks in other parts of the world? Same DVD Nav that’s in my ML500.

I thought the only change from the '05 to '06 was new Wheels ... but what was the change with the Fuel Tank??? MBUSA website doesn't give any information on the '06 G-Class specs
