Found the same kind of corrosion under the rubber things on my truck. What a shock that was. She's due to go under the knife this weekend.

I ordered replacement panels. They're cheap enough, but looks like they'll be a pain to weld in....we'll see.

At the same time, I'm having back door patched up, and swapping rear left panel.

Dai's metal guy's a genius.

The body repair man at this shop is a fantastic craftsman. The shop has a pretty rare frame jig that has Mercedes, Ferrari, and BMW precision inserts and specs. Joe Miller is a terriffic painter and does custom paintwork for Lynn Ashcroft's motorcycles. The shop is Canyon Auto Rebody and is about 20 miles east of Salem Oregon. 503-859-3247. The owner's name is Chris and they all have been doing this a long time. The highest quality work. Tell them I sent you.
